Symantec Endpoint Protection 설치 후 PDA ActiveSync가 되지 않을때...

이상하게 PDA를 USB로 연결하면 잘되던 액티브 싱크가 안되서 난감했는데..

(덕분에 한동안 블투 싱크만 사용했다는...)

액티브 싱크에서 자체 진단을 해보면 Sygate 파이어월 때문이라고 나왔다..

뭥미.. 난 그런거 안깔았는데...

혹시나 했더니 얼마전에 백신을 Symantec Endpoint Protection으로 바꾼 때문이였다.

이걸로 고민하던분들은 아래 설정을 따라 하면 싱크가 되실겁니다.

Unable to use ActiveSync with Symantec Endpoint Protection client installed

Situation:

After deploying Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) to a client, the user is not able to use ActiveSync between their desktop computer and their handheld system.

Solution:

Create Centralized Exceptions, and if necessary Firewall exceptions:

For an unmanaged client:

Open the SEP client interface and click "Change settings" on the left side of the window.
Locate "Centralized Exceptions" and click the "Configure Settings" button.
Click the "Add..." button and select choose "Security Risk Exceptions" and then "Folder" - Select the Microsoft ActiveSync folder in C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync.
Once the folder is added, again click the "Add..." button and select "Security Risk Exceptions" and now select "File" - Pick C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\WCESMgr.exe
After adding the file exception repeat the process and click the "Add..." button, select "TruScan Proactive Threat Scan Exception."
Navigate to the C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync folder and select the "wcescomm.exe" file to add the exception.
Repeat the process for C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\rapimgr.exe
Close the Centralized Exceptions window and click on "Configure Settings" for Antivirus and Antispyware.
Click the tab for "File System Auto-Protect."
Click the "Centralized Exceptions" button.
Repeat steps 3-7.

If you are using Network Threat Protection, you will also need to create exceptions for the firewall:

Open the SEP client interface and click "Options" next to Network Threat Protection and select "Configure Firewall Rules..."
Click the "Add..." button and go to the "Applications" tab.
Click "Browse..." and go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\ and select "rapimgr.exe" and click "Open."
Repeat the step above for both "WCESMgr.exe" and "wcescomm.exe."
Go to the "General" tab.
Give the rule a name.
For action select "Allow this traffic."
Click OK.
